Regular Season Round 55: Fukuoka Rizing - Kumamoto V. 82-72

An interesting game for Fukuoka Rizing (44-10) which hosted in Fukuoka their biggest opponent Kumamoto V. (37-17). First ranked Fukuoka Rizing managed to get a 10-point victory 82-72. Strangely Kumamoto V. outrebounded Fukuoka Rizing 45-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Daisuke Kobayashi (188-87) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Fukuoka Rizing's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 assists and Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first place with 44-10 record. Kumamoto V. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with 17 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing's next round opponent will be again league's second-placed Kumamoto V. at home and it will be for sure the game of the week.
