Very predictable result in Seaford where leader Spectres (4-0) defeated bottom-ranked Frankston Blues (0-5) 80-69 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Marena Whittle (180-94, college: N.Dakota St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Izzy Chilcott (180-90) helped adding 23 points and 7 rebounds. Spectres' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) responded with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Sammie Simmons (173-90) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Spectres keep a position of League leader. Loser Frankston Blues still closes the standings with five games lost. Spectres will face Lady Bandits (#4) in Albury in the next round. Frankston Blues will play at home against Nationals (#7) and hope to get finally their first victory.
