Undefeated leader Olympiacos delivered the twenty first consecutive victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Proteas (9-12) 93-53 in Pireus. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Proteas. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Olympiacos forced 26 Proteas turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 22 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. American Labrittney Jones (185-95, college: Arizona) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import power forward Diana Delva (188-88, college: Hartford) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Proteas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos (21-0) have an impressive series of twenty one victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 21 victories in a row. Proteas at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Esperides. Olympiacos will play against Panathlitikos (#11) in Thessaloniki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Proteas will play at home against Olympiacos Volou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
