There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Suns (3-6) were outscored by thirteenth ranked Giants (1-6) in Kalamunda 118-99 on Sunday. Giants shot 60.3 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Suns turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Suns' players. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Jeylyn Sharpe (194-91, college: Rogers St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Jake Martin (198-85, college: Luther) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and forward Logan Viskovich (198) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Suns. Five Giants and four Suns players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Giants left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in League. Loser Suns keep the tenth position with six games lost. Giants will face higher ranked Hawks (#6) in Floreat in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
