Regular Season Round 37: Hispano Am. - Quimsa 77-70

There was a surprise result in Rio Gallegos where twelfth ranked Hispano Am. (16-18) defeated higher ranked Quimsa (21-14) 77-70 on Sunday. American guard Larry OBannon (192-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) fired 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-91, college: S.Alabama) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Nicolas De-los-Santos (180-88) produced 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Sebastian Vega (200-88) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Hispano Am. moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Quimsa keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Hispano Am. will face higher ranked GECR Indalo (#7) in Comodoro Rivadavia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Quimsa will play at home against the league's leader San Lorenzo having rather not much hope for a victory.
