An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Montenegrano. First ranked Alma Trieste faced 4th ranked Montegrano. Guests from Trieste (22-8) defeated host Montegrano (18-12) 81-72. Alma Trieste shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American forward Laurence Bowers (203-90, college: Missouri) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Montenegrin guard Javonte Green (193-93, college: Radford, agency: Duran International) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) scored 24 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alma Trieste maintains first position in A2 with 22-8 record. Newly promoted Montegrano dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost.
