There was an upset when higher ranked Valmontone (20-10) was edged at home by twelfth ranked Venafro (11-19) 97-96 on Sunday. Venafro shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. Marco Rossi (185-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Niccolo Rinaldi (199-93) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Venafro's coach Arturo Mascio used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Innocenzo Ferraro (200-82) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds.
