Regular Season Round 32: Saint Vallier - Boulogne 90-63

Date: April 22, 2018
Very expected game when 8th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (15-17) was crushed on the road by second ranked Saint Vallier (25-7) 90-63 on Sunday. Saint Vallier forced 22 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by SO Maritime Boulogne's players. SO Maritime Boulogne was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Christnel Jean-Francois who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international William Gradit (197-82, college: Hill JC) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and center Adolphe-Michel Jean-Baptiste (206-79) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saint Vallier maintains second position with 25-7 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Gries/Oberhoffen. Loser SO Maritime Boulogne dropped to the ninth place with 17 games lost. Saint Vallier will face Brissac Anjou (#7) in Brissac-Quince in the next round where they are favorite. SO Maritime Boulogne will play at home against Orchesien BC and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
