Regular Season Round 7: Waverley F. - Werribee D. 81-79

Date: April 22, 2018
Very predictable result when fifth ranked Waverley Falcons (4-2) edged 10th ranked Devils (2-5) in Mount Waverley 81-79 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Quite impressive performance for the former international guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds. Dylan Larkin contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures. Deng Chan answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and British guard Paul Elderkin (196-87) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Devils. Waverley Falcons moved-up to second place in League. Loser Devils dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Waverley Falcons will face Stingrays (#12) in Geelong in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Devils will play at home against McKinnon C. and hope to win that game.
