Regular Season Round 34: SeaHorses - Ryukyu GK 69-54

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Ryukyu GK (42-13) in Kariya on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Aishin Sea Horses (45-10) 69-54. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ryukyu GK. The former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) fired 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) chipped in 6 points and 16 rebounds. American forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and forward Naoki Tashiro (188-93) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first position with 45-10 record which they share with defeated Ryukyu GK. Ryukyu GK at the other side still keeps top place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Chiba Jets. Aishin Sea Horses are looking forward to face Toyama Grouses (#5) on the road in the next round. Ryukyu GK will play against the league's second-placed Toyota Alvark (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
