There was no surprise when 15th ranked Roseto Sharks (6-24) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Tezenis Verona (18-12) 91-76 on Sunday. Tezenis Verona shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Phil Greene-IV (187-92, college: St.John's) who scored 18 points. The other American import guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 16 points. Four Tezenis Verona players scored in double figures. Tezenis Verona's coach Luca Dalmonte used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Marco Contento (190-91) who recorded 18 points and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Tezenis Verona maintains sixth position in A2 with 18-12 record. Loser Roseto Sharks keep the fifteenth place with 24 games lost.
