There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Cagliari Academy (14-16) won against at home higher ranked Lighthouse TRP (15-15) 85-77 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five Cagliari Academy players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) who recorded 23 points and American forward Jesse Perry (200-89, college: Arizona) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Cagliari Academy maintains thirteenth position in A2 with 14-16 record. Loser Lighthouse TRP keeps the seventh place with 15 games lost.
