PLK top team - Anwil (24-8) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Polpharma (15-17) in Wloclawek 106-56. Anwil dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Polpharma's 36. Anwil forced 20 Polpharma turnovers and outrebounded them 37-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Polpharma was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian center Josip Sobin (203-89, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Anwil players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Milan Milovanovic (205-91, agency: 011 Sports) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Thomas Davis (198-91, college: SW Oklahoma St.) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds.
