There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Oleggio (13-17) defeated at home 9th ranked Omnia Basket (15-15) 80-63 on Sunday. They outrebounded Omnia Basket 41-25 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Oleggio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Alessandro Spatti (204-95, agency: Octagon Europe) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Stefano Colombo (200-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Oleggio players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Daniele Manuelli (192-94) scored 19 points. Oleggio maintains twelfth position in B with 13-17 record. Newly promoted Omnia Basket dropped to the eighth place with 15 games lost.
