There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Fabriano (10-20) beat at home 12th ranked Nardo (13-17) 93-85 on Sunday. Fabriano shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. Nardo was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) scored 28 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Valerio Marsili (204-87) chipped in 17 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Alessandro Poti (192-91) with 26 points and naturalized Romanian forward Alin-Giani Zaharie (198-94) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted Fabriano maintains fourteenth position in B with 10-20 record, which they share with Lugo. Nardo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth place with 17 games lost.
