Leader Groningen delivered the twenty eighth win. This time they beat 9th ranked Weert (4-28) 84-71. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Weert was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Groningen had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American swingman Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Daan Rosenmuller (193-95) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Sam Van-Dijk (194-96) added 16 points, 5 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Weert. Four Groningen and five Weert players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Groningen. Defending champion maintains first place with 28-4 record. Weert lost their fifth game in a row. They stay dead last with 28 lost games.
