Regular Season Round 8: Mandurah M. - Perth R. 82-113

Date: April 25, 2018
Everything went according to plan in Mandurah where fourth ranked Redbacks (6-3) outscored 13th ranked Magic (2-6) 113-82 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American forward Maurice Barrow (196-92, college: Fairfield) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Redbacks players scored in double figures. American guard Shaun Stewart (180-94, college: Limestone) responded with 32 points and his fellow American import swingman Jamal Shabazz (198-94, college: Samford) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Redbacks maintains fourth position in League with 6-3 record. Loser Magic dropped to the twelfth place with six games lost. Redbacks will face higher ranked Stirling S. (#3) in Perth in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Magic will play at home against Eagles (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
