Regular Season Round 11: Blumenau - Brusque 68-60

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Blumenau's (5-8) home victory over 8th ranked Brusque (2-11) 68-60. It was a great evening for point guard Gustavo Assuncao (180-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Bruno Lazzaris (202-90) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Blumenau players scored in double figures. Andre Mendes (192-93) responded with 18 points and center Rodrigo Silva (207-87) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blumenau maintains seventh place with 5-8 record. Brusque at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Blumenau will play against higher ranked Macae (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brusque will play against Macae and hopes to get back on the winning track.
