Another exciting game was played in Madrid between sixth ranked Alcobendas and 7th ranked Estudiantes B where Alcobendas (16-13) crushed Estudiantes B (15-14) on the road with 30-point difference 83-53. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Estudiantes B. Alcobendas shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Estudiantes B only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Estudiantes B 55-36 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Estudiantes B was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Alejandro Fortes (201-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized South African swingman Alex Tamayo (199-0) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Oscar Gonzalez (195-98) added 4 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Estudiantes B. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alcobendas maintains sixth position in Group B with 16-13 record. Estudiantes B at the other side keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Alcobendas will play against higher ranked Real Madrid II (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
