Finals Game 1: Keltern - Wasserburg 77-64

Keltern overcame Wasserburg at home court to open win count in DBBL Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Gruner Stern Keltern. TSV 1880 Wasserburg managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gruner Stern Keltern dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to TSV 1880 Wasserburg's 28. They outrebounded TSV 1880 Wasserburg 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Amber Orrange (170-93, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 25 points and 6 steals for the winners and point guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Gruner Stern Keltern players scored in double figures. At the losing side Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) responded with 31 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and power forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds.
