There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Logan T. (0-2) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Rockhampton Rockets (1-0) 107-94 on Friday. Rockhampton Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Logan T.'s 36. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman James Mitchell (194-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American swingman Malcolm Bernard (198-94, college: Xavier) who added 27 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Forward Mitch Young (206-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Michael Cedar (190-86) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Four Logan T. players scored in double figures. Rockhampton Rockets left bottom position moving up to fifth place in League. Loser Logan T. still closes the standings with two games lost. Rockhampton Rockets will have a break next round. Logan T. will play on the road against Ipswich Force (#9) in Booval and hopes to get finally their first victory.
