Very expected game in Joondalup where 8th ranked Eagles (4-6) were defeated by first ranked Wanneroo (8-1) 90-73 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brian Sullivan (180-93, college: Davidson) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Four Wanneroo players scored in double figures. American power forward Jonathan Morse (203-91, college: Metro St.) responded with 31 points and 7 rebounds and forward Andrej Donlagic (197-97) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wanneroo maintains first position in League with 8-1 record. Loser Eagles dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. Wanneroo will face Suns (#9) in Kalamunda in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eagles will play on the road against Magic in Mandurah and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
