Regular Season Round 29: Mons-Hainaut - Antwerp 67-68

Date: April 27, 2018
Fifth-ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (14-15) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Antwerp Giants (21-8) in Jemappes on Friday. The visitors from Antwerp managed to secure only one-point victory 68-67. However their fans expected easier game. Nigerian-American forward Moses Kingsley (208-94, college: Arkansas) saved the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Tyler Kalinoski (193-92, college: Davidson) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Tre Demps (188-93, college: Northwestern) answered with 21 points and the other American import guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for Belfius Mons-Hainaut. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Antwerp Giants have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-8 record having five points less than leader Oostende. Belfius Mons-Hainaut at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Antwerp Giants will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants (#2) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
