No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (34-24) beat at home 6th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (25-33) 71-55 on Saturday. The former international guard Hironori Watanabe (180-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points and 4 assists. American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) contributed with 6 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Hitachi Sunrockers. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tochigi Brex. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 34-24 record. Hitachi Sunrockers lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 33 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hitachi Sunrockers will play at home against Hokkaido L. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
