There was no surprise in Alicante where 10th ranked Sevilla 2 (6-21) was defeated by eighth ranked Multiopticas Baza (11-15) 69-56 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was center Jorge Rodriguez (198-94) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard David Garcia (180-93) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Multiopticas Baza players scored in double figures. Lithuanian forward Tomas Balciunas (202-0) produced 8 points and 7 rebounds and A Da-Silva added 11 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Multiopticas Baza moved-up to sixth place in Group D-Permam, which they share with Unicaja-Andalucia. Sevilla 2 lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost. Multiopticas Baza will face higher ranked San Juan (#4) in San Juan del Puerto in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sevilla 2 will play at home against Coin (#5) and hope to win that game.
