An exciting game was played in Renova. First ranked Tokyo HT faced 4th ranked Kagoshima. Guests from Tokyo (11-1) defeated host Kagoshima (5-7) 91-77. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Kagoshima's 34. Tokyo HT forced 21 Kagoshima turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Koharu Higara (183-93) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Kagoshima lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Saitama Bron..
