There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Valls Nutrion (17-9) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Mollet (15-11) 80-74 on Saturday. Mollet shot 22 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Valls Nutrion only scored four points from the stripe. Valls Nutrion was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Marc Torres (195-86) who scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Jose-Maria Sanchez (198-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Mollet players scored in double figures. Equatorial Guinean forward Oscar Ngomo (197-90) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American forward RJ Freeman (206-95, college: Pikeville) added 22 points respectively for the hosts. Valls Nutrion's coach Francesc Canals tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mollet moved-up to sixth place in Group C-B. Loser Valls Nutrion keeps the fourth position with nine games lost.
