Regular Season Round 8: Willetton T. - Perth R. 87-83

There was a small surprise in Willetton where seventh ranked Tigers (5-3) beat 4th ranked Redbacks (6-3) 87-83 on Saturday. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Damien Scott (192-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Kyle Armour (183-89, college: Augusta) who added 20 points during the contest. The former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) scored 32 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Five Tigers and four Redbacks players scored in double figures. Tigers maintains seventh position in League with 5-3 record. Loser Redbacks keep the fourth place with three games lost. Tigers will face higher ranked Flames (#5) in Rockingham in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Redbacks will play at home against Stirling S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
