A very close game took place in Rockingham between Wanneroo and Flames. First ranked Wanneroo (8-1) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Flames (6-3). Wanneroo managed to escape with a 2-point win 83-81 on Saturday evening. Wanneroo made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Brian Sullivan (180-93, college: Davidson) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Wanneroo's coach used entire bench in such tough game. American power forward Josh Ritchart (205-92, college: Cal-Davis) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and forward Greg Hire (201-87, college: Augusta) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Wanneroo maintains first position in League with 8-1 record. Loser Flames keep the fifth place with three games lost.
