We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Ourense where 10th ranked Ponferrada CDP (14-16) was defeated by eleventh ranked COB (14-16) 69-61 on Saturday. COB dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Ponferrada CDP's 32. The best player for the winners was Daniel Fernandez (195-99) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Cristian Iglesias (198-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four COB players scored in double figures. Brazilian center Dida Pereira (203-92, college: Sequoias CC) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Serigne Barro (208-95) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. COB have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place in Group A-B, which they share with Ponferrada CDP and Innova Chef. Ponferrada CDP lost third consecutive game.
