Regular Season Round 31: ASVEL - Gravelines 78-74

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (18-13) defeated at home 12th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (14-17) 78-74 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was an exceptional evening for international Amine Noua (202-97, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman David Lighty (195-88, college: Ohio St.) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket players scored in double figures. Belgian guard Quentin Serron (190-90) came up with 16 points and 7 assists and American Chris Johnson (198-90, college: Dayton) added 21 points respectively for Gravelines-Dunkerque in the defeat. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dijon. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Chalon and Le Portel. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will meet Limoges CSP Elite (#6) on the road in the next round. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against JSF Nanterre (#7) and hope to secure a win.
