Not a big story in a game in Gawler where 8th ranked Central District Lions (1-6) were defeated by second ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (6-1) 92-77 on Saturday. West Adelaide Bearcats shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tobias Dowdell (201-90, college: Alders.-Broad.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard James Legan (190-87, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) who added 28 points during the contest. Five West Adelaide Bearcats players scored in double figures. Tyson Hofffmann responded with 24 points and 4 steals and American forward Ricardo Martin (203-92, college: Lander) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Central District Lions' coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. West Adelaide Bearcats maintains second position in League with 6-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Joondalup Wolves. Loser Central District Lions dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
