There was no surprise in Mt. Barker where 10th ranked Eastern Mavericks (1-6) were outplayed by fourth ranked North Adelaide Rockets (5-2) 94-72 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 47-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks and South Sudanese forward Atem Atem (203-91) who added 16 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Four North Adelaide Rockets players scored in double figures. American guard Jake Rios (188-86, college: Georgia Coll.) responded with 22 points and forward Rigby Aktanarowicz scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. North Adelaide Rockets maintains fourth position in League with 5-2 record. Loser Eastern Mavericks keep the tenth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
