Regular Season Round 8: Woodville W. - Sturt S. 75-82

Everything could happen in Flinders Park at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Sturt Sabres and 7th ranked Woodville Warriors had identical 1-5 record. But Woodville Warriors were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Pasadena 82-75 on Saturday night. Woodville Warriors were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Daniel Nash who helped to win the game recording 23 points and naturalized Greek power forward Max Calligeros (197-92) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Sturt Sabres players scored in double figures. American swingman Everett Osborne (193, college: UTRGV) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jonathan Perry (193-91, college: Dallas Baptist) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sturt Sabres (2-5) moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Woodville Warriors dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
