There was a small surprise in Greensborough where sixth ranked Tigers (2-3) won against 6th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (1-5) 85-78 on Saturday. Tigers shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tom Wilson (195-97, college: SMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Billy Hughes (-94, college: Chattanooga St) who added 25 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. American forward Mike Best (208-93, college: Cal-Irvine) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Daniel Camps (196-94, college: Queens, NC) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Diamond Valley Eagles players scored in double figures. Tigers moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Tigers will face Sabres (#7) in Cheltenham in the next round. Diamond Valley Eagles will play at home against Sabres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
