Regular Season Round 30: Poitiers - Blois 67-51

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked ADA Blois (24-6) on the court of fourteenth ranked Poitiers on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Poitiers 67-51. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of ADA Blois. The game was mostly controlled by Poitiers. ADA Blois managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ADA Blois to just 4 points in third quarter. They outrebounded ADA Blois 33-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. Kevin Harley (192-94) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Belgian point guard Charly Pontens (190-95) with 8 points and 6 assists and American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) scored 13 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Poitiers (10-20) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Caen. ADA Blois at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Orleans. Poitiers is looking forward to face higher ranked Sluc Nancy (#7) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. ADA Blois will play against Aix-Maurienne (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
