There was no surprise when 9th ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (3-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (9-5) 96-91. American guard Tyshawn Abbott (192-88, college: Arizona St.) notched 27 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Panamanian center Jordan Henriquez-Roberts (214-89, college: Kansas St.) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Even 28 points by American point guard Luke Moyer (185-93, college: John Brown) did not help to save the game for Lobos UAD Mazatlan. His fellow American import forward Carl Hall (202-89, college: Wichita St., agency: HMS) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-5 record. Lobos UAD Mazatlan lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Aguilas Doradas de Durango on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
