Regular Season Round 8: Hornsby S. - Sutherland S. 62-75

There was a minor upset in Hornsby where 7th ranked Spiders (3-5) were defeated by seventh ranked Sutherland Sharks (4-3) 75-62 on Saturday. Sutherland Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lochlan Hutchison who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 assists and Themistocles Pantzouris who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Matthew McElhone responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Jack Larkins scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sutherland Sharks moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Spiders dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Sutherland Sharks will face Maitland Mustangs (#9) at home in the next round. Spiders will play against the league's second-placed Hills Hornets and hope to win that game.
