Regular Season Round 31: Chalon - Monaco 73-99

ProA top team - Monaco (24-7) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Chalon/Saor (14-17) 99-73. The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Chalon/Saor's 38. Monaco forced 21 Chalon/Saor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Chalon/Saor's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. American point guard Nate Wolters (193-91, college: S.Dakota St., agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Cameroonian Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Chalon/Saor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Monaco have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-7 record. Defending champion Chalon/Saor keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Gravelines and Le Portel. Monaco are looking forward to face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
