An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hiroshima. Third ranked Dragonflies faced 4th ranked Kanazawa Sam.. Host Dragonflies (32-25) defeated guests from Ishikawa (25-31) 90-86. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Seiya Tanaka (186-91) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Dragonflies players scored in double figures. Dragonflies' coach Jamie Andrisevic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) added 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) in the effort for Kanazawa Sam.Dragonflies have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 32-25 record having four points less than leader Akita NH. Kanazawa Sam. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with 31 games lost. Dragonflies will play against Bambitious Nara (#6) at home in the next round. Kanazawa Sam. will play against the league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR and hopes to get back on the winning track.
