Regular Season Round 58: Aomori Watts - Kagawa FA 79-75

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Aomori Watts (17-40) beat at home 5th ranked Kagawa FA (20-35) 79-75 on Sunday. Strangely Kagawa FA outrebounded Aomori Watts 48-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guard Keijiro Monma (185-94) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Aomori Watts' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 25 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Aomori Watts maintains fifth position with 17-40 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the fifth place with 35 games lost. Aomori Watts will face higher ranked Sendai 89ers (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
