Leader Real Madrid delivered the twenty sixth victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Movil Estudiantes (13-16) 92-75. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. Movil Estudiantes was better in fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Movil Estudiantes 40-25 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for naturalized Cape Verdean center Edy Tavares (220-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). American forward Trey Thompkins (208-90, college: Georgia) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American-Israeli swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and Bosnian-Croatian guard Goran Suton (208-85, college: Michigan St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Movil Estudiantes. Five Real Madrid and four Movil Estudiantes players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Madrid (26-3) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Movil Estudiantes at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 16 games lost.
