No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Bendigo Braves (4-0) outleveled at home 3rd ranked Bandits (3-3) 93-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bendigo Braves. Bandits was better in third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bendigo Braves shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bendigo Braves made 27 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 assists and guard Jeremy Kendle (186-88, college: Bellarmine) who added 15 points, 10 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Five Bendigo Braves players scored in double figures. Bendigo Braves' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Lamar Mallory (201-90, college: Glenville St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists and power forward Rashad Hassan (203-89, college: Savannah St.) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Bendigo Braves maintains first position in League with 4-0 record. Loser Bandits dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Bendigo Braves will face Canberra Gunners (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bandits will play against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
