Regular Season Round 30: Aalstar - Leuven 95-57

Very expected game when 9th ranked Leuven Bears (6-24) were crushed on the road by fourth ranked Okapi Aalstar (19-12) 95-57. Okapi Aalstar dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Leuven Bears' 28. It was a good game for American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 4 assists. The other American import guard Kellen Dunham (198-93, college: Butler) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Forward Rafael Bogaerts (198-93) replied with 14 points and Bosnian-British center Fahro Alihodzic (208-89, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Leuven Bears. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okapi Aalstar maintains fourth position with 19-12 record. Leuven Bears at the other side keep the ninth place with 24 games lost. Okapi Aalstar's next round opponent will be Kangoeroes (#7) in Willebroek. Leuven Bears will play on the road against Spirou Charleroi and hope to win that game.
