Regular Season Round 33: Saint-Quentin - Aubenas 76-67

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Aubenas (13-20) was defeated on the road by third ranked Saint-Quentin (24-9) 76-67 on Sunday. Strangely Aubenas outrebounded Saint-Quentin 37-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was Desmond Quincy-Jones (201-85, college: Pace) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. Benoit Gillet (190-86) chipped in 15 points. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and center Oumarou Baradji (202-89) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Saint-Quentin maintains third place with 24-9 record having two points less than leader Gries/Oberhoffen. Loser Aubenas keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Saint-Quentin will face Rueil (#4) on the road in the next round. Aubenas will play against ALS Basket (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
