Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Sutherland Sharks and 6th ranked Crusaders had identical 3-3 record. This time Sutherland Sharks used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Terrigal 70-49 on Sunday night. Sutherland Sharks forced 19 Crusaders turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jeff Van-Dyke (188-95, college: Cal-San Diego) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and Lochlan Hutchison who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American forward Mitchell Rueter (198, college: Cent.Arkansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Oliver Robilliard (188) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sutherland Sharks (4-3) moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Crusaders dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Sutherland Sharks will face Maitland Mustangs (#9) at home in the next round. Crusaders will play against Newcastle Hunters in Broadmeadow and hope to win that game.
