The most exciting game of round 22 in the A1 took place in Athens. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Faros Keratsiniou (18-4) to third ranked Panionios (17-5) 69-67 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Faros Keratsiniou. Faros Keratsiniou was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Aikaterini Spatharou (172-83) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. American forward Katie Healy (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. American forward Lykendra Johnson (185-89, college: Michigan St.) replied with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Zoi Kechagia (170-79) added 14 points in the effort for Faros Keratsiniou. Panionios have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-5 record having five points less than leader Olympiacos. Newly promoted Faros Keratsiniou keeps the second place with four games lost.
