A very interesting game took place in Buenos Aires. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Olimpico de La Banda (15-21) to fifteenth ranked Boca Juniors (14-21) 69-66 on Monday evening. Boca Juniors made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Mariano Fierro (200-86) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Boca Juniors' coach Gustavo Fernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Justin Williams (206-84, college: Wyoming, agency: DTMones) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Olimpico de La Banda. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boca Juniors have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Estudiantes C. Olimpico de La Banda lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Boca Juniors' next round opponent will be higher ranked La Union (#6) in Formosa and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
