The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Belize City: Hurricanes (#2) and Defenders (#4). Hurricanes (9-3) crushed visiting Defenders (6-6) by 20 points 80-60. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Glency Lopez who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 assists. International Brian White (196-95, college: Wesley) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Darwin Leslie (191-81) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Defenders. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hurricanes have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-3 record behind leader San Pedro T., which they share with Dream Ballers. Defenders lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fourth position with six games lost.
