Balkan thrashed Academic Sofia on the road to sweep the series. The game without a history. Balkan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Academic Sofia turnovers. Balkan looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Igor Kesar (210-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Five Balkan players scored in double figures. International forward Yordan Minchev (202-98) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Krasimir Dimitrov (195-98) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
